February 10-12th, 2006 “Special Event” at Kira’s Oasis

It was absolutely wonderful !!!! She is so down to earth, sooooo much light-hearted fun, honest, sincere and as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!! We had a wonderful time starting with the Belly Dance Nite on Friday – yes she was there!!!! She came deliberately quietly and just subtly merged in with all of us partying and dancing on the dance floor. As people began to realize she was there, the cameras started snapping. I did not make a big announcement fuss when she arrived because she wanted to just be low-key and enjoy the event the same way all the rest of us do. I announced VERY clearly in all the documentation and notations on the site that she would NOT be performing at the hafla but only the show on Saturday. If you were one of the people who made the assumption that she was performing at the hafla because she did last time she was here and because you didn’t read this information posted in many places about this on the website, I am sorry if you were disapointed. I hope you made the show where she did dance and the fire hoola hoop gals from chicago lit our hearts on FIRE!! As soon as I can get pictures to my webmaster and he has time to get them out there – there were a million pictures taken over the course of the weekend reflecting the fun we had and the killer two-day workshop she taught for us!! I am still sore!
Thank you for all the cards, emails and notes that have been coming in since the workshop giving me your feedback and telling me how much fun you had. All of your notes have made me very happy!!! It was alot of work to bring her here but well worth it when sooooo many people share with me what a great time they had and how they grew in their personal dance experience from the time they spent with her.
