November 11th Trunk Sale/Flea Market for you to sell/buy before the Holidays !!
DANCERS TRUNK SALE – FLEA MARKET Friday, November 11th, 2011
During our Belly Dance Hafla night from 7:30 – 11:30 PM
Belly Dance Hafla night as usual with open dancing and just a FEW performances, BUT the vending will be all about YOU!
We will make this Hafla dedicated to showcasing your goods and selling to each other with VERY little to compete with your
limelight. A more brief performance line up will go on this night so we can shop till we drop!
This Hafla features the opportunity to sell your personal stuff and buy some gently used items from others for a good
price!
** Vendors at this Hafla do NOT have to pay the entrance fee at the door, limited to the vendor purchasing the
vending space and one helper who stays with the table. Additional Vendor guests need to purchase their entrance at the door.
*** Vendors may begin setting up their tables at 5:00 pm on Friday
NOTE: Seating for this Hafla will be Theatre style because so many more tables will be up for the special vending situation. Belly Dance HAFLA Night Page
Opportunity to rent a table for vending space is now CLOSED. No more vendors are being accepted.
If you are already a vendor, please note the following:
** Your Own $$ CHANGE!! The Oasis will not be providing your customers change for the bills they present you to pay for your
items. Please bring your own small change to accommodate their purchases and manage your money safely and efficiently in your
own space. The Oasis is NOT responsible for any loss of merchandise or your money because of theft.
* TAG YOUR ITEMS: Tag your items clearly with what the item is, its price and who the vendor is just in case items get
mixed up from vendor to vendor or dropped in the studio somewhere! This has happened in the past.
* TABLE or HANGING RACK: We will put a sign on the table from the Oasis that you rent or on the floor where your rack will be
once you have registered and paid for the space. The Oasis will give you a table but we do not have racks. If you reserve a
table, it will be set up with your name on it. If you reserve rack “space”, there will be a spot on the floor with your name on
it where you will set up your rack.
*TABLE CLOTH: The Oasis does NOT have table clothes for all the tables so if you want one – bring your own!!
* Table lamp or lighting for your merchandise to be seen! The studio does NOT have enough free standing lighting to put a lamp
on everyone’s table and the lights are not blaring in the studio so PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LAMP!!! If you don’t bring a lamp
after being instructed to do so and then feel your area was not bright enough to have a good selling experience, well….
* Power strip or extension cord so that you can have light at your table!! While we will try to have power to each vending area,
we do not have enough power strips/cords to accommodate everyone so please bring one in case we need it and label it with YOUR
name so we know who it belongs to when the chaos of tear down begins!! We will NOT guaranteed that you have the ability to
turn on the light you bring if you do not help with the power cord issue to reach the power sources in the studio.
*** VERY IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY: Set up time begins at 5:00pm – please do NOT arrive before then. We want to have the vending
area ready for you to just walk in and begin your own personal set up of your table. Your name will be on your table so that
you can find it easily. If you need some special arrangements for some reason – tell us by Thursday at 4pm or your needs will
not be met.
You, as the individual person vending at this event are not the ONLY vendor. Please understand that when this many people are
coming together to make something like this happen it needs organization and time in advance to plan and be prepared. Flexing
with requests at the last minute will be next to impossible so let us know any specifics ahead of time, PLEASE, so that you are
not disappointed in your selling experience and mad at us for something we could not accommodate because you expressed your
needs to us at the last minute.
While the Oasis cannot make any guarantees for your selling experience we have done everything we can to make a good
Experience for you. Thank you to everyone who will be coming out for the trunk sale! I wish you huge “selling” blessings!!!
