When Aziza left the Oasis at the end of her weekend workshop with us in September 2005, she was sitting on a plane
for a VERY long trip to Buenas Aires. She was thinking heavily about her time with the dancers who are drawn
to the Oasis for great education and some of the issues and ideas they raised while talking with her over the
weekend. She thought of so many things she wants to share with us here in Dayton that she is over-flowing with
“stuff” she wants to give to us and expressed to me that she cannot cover it all in one weekend. She is coming
back twice in 2006 so she can give us everything she has in mind! Isn’t that awesome??!! Aziza loves
Kira’s Oasis and everyone that attended her workshop in September, 2005 made her feel
VERY welcome, appreciated, respected and loved. Of course you lovely ladies made her feel that way – no
surprise to me!! But THANK YOU very much!!
Aziza is one of the most gifted teachers of this art form to hit the workshop circuit in a very long time. While
this is my own personal opinion, it is shared VASTLY throughout the dance community and if you have studies with her
already, you know what I am talking about. If you had not yet had the good fortune, come to the workshop!! She will
grow your dance abilities in leaps and bounds!!! She is a stellar teacher and an amazing dancer/performer. Please
come check her out – we will have a SUPER weekend together!!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH: BELLY DANCE HAFLA NIGHT!
Aziza will join us for our monthly Hafla and perform for us. Come enjoy the chance to get to know
her better and see her dance!! Just $5.00 per person

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH: WORKSHOP
Saturday Schedule: 10am – 11:00 am Registration/shopping
11am – 1:00 pm Class with Aziza
1:00 – 2:00 pm Lunch on site with pre-order or off site
2:30 – 4:00 pm Class with Aziza
COST: $60 if you didn’t attend her first 2006 workshop, $50 if you DID!!
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH: SHOW: Staring Aziza!
Door opens for seating at 7:30 pm, Show starts at 8:00 pm.
COST: $10.00 per person at the door
This show will include great Belly Dancing as usual but will also highlight some
acts more along the “variety” type since many of our dancers have other talents
to show us and Aziza wants to show us some of her diversity!!
** Please note that if you want to dance in the show, you certainly can Belly
Dance!!! It is a Belly Dance Show!! We just want to give people the opportunity
to do less traditional Belly Dance or even show us some totally non-belly dance
diversity, should you desire. How many times have you heard a song on the radio
and said to yourself that you would love to dance to that music but would really
be stepping out of the Belly Dance “box” to do it. Well, do it this event!! Or
if you have other talents, dance styles, etc that you would like to do, that would
be great. Like the gals that came and showed us the folk dance from India the
last time Aziza was here in May. That was awesome!!
The show will be professionally videotaped and DVD produced by Tony with

About Aziza
Aziza is an outstanding Oriental dance performer and instructor. She
currently splits her time between the Pacific Northwest and Montreal, Canada.
Dancing since the age of three, Aziza has a strong background in classical
ballet. After twelve years of ballet study and performance, Aziza began
experimenting with other dance forms including African, Modern, Lyrical Jazz,
and Tahitian. In 1988 she was introduced to Middle Eastern Dance and found it
to the ideal medium. Since that time, Aziza has devoted her life to learning,
performing and sharing this ancient art form.
One of the most exciting strong points about Beautiful Aziza, is her
incredible ability to “Become The Music”. She will focus on passing some
of her knowledge about this on to us over the course of the weekend through
teaching and performances.
