What is Kira’s Oasis?

Dance Studio & Rental Hall
PLEASE NOTE: The Oasis operates primarily as a dance studio
so it is not “open” for walk-in traffic during normal business hours.
AN APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY!

This Private Club is a beautiful dance studio / rental hall that provides guests with about 2500 square feet of space, featuring a 1500 square foot dance floor area embellished by 40 feet of mirrors down one wall. Drapes can be closed over the mirrors if they are not desired. The dance floor is nicely cushioned for classes but is durable enough to accommodate large group gatherings including seating either at tables or theatre style. Other amenities of the studio include a good sound system, dressing room with dedicated bathroom, a library/sitting room for congregating with men’s & women’s bathrooms, a small “store” where you can shop for hip scarves, harem pants, skirts and beaded costume sets or add your items for consignment. A pop/water vending machine is located in the studio. A fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and stove as well as chairs and tables are available and can be used for your event.

The facility can be rented for classes, meetings, and private functions such as business gatherings, parties, shows, charity events, weddings/receptions, dances, etc. Please click on the Hall Rental section of the Menu for details.

Kira’s Oasis currently offers a variety of belly dance classes and other classes like yoga or different form of dancing like Latin/Salsa periodically. Also offered are great one-time, short Specialty Classes in many subjects. All classes are open to the public who become club members. New and exciting classes are added all time so check out the class listing to find out what is currently offered.

Kira’s Oasis is a NON-Smoking facility available only to club members. Club Membership is FREE and REQUIRED. Please click on the membership form below for more info or pick up a form at the studio.

Located in the Dayton Mall area of Centerville at 590 Congress Park Drive, it is the home for Kira’s 2nd FRIDAY of each month Middle Eastern Belly Dance Hafla Nights and small to medium scale workshops and events. It is also a great place to get further belly dance education with your favorite regulars. Keep an eye on the What’s Going On page on this website for great things to do in and around Dayton and sign up for the newsletter!

Keep your eye out for the beautiful quilt that Kathleen Jacobson is hand crafting for a wall hanging in the Studio and make sure you admire the incredible “wall” that Gayle Sampson, Kevin Haney & Anna Horn have painted to look like the limestone walls of a Moraccan village store front – it is incredible!! PLUS – make sure you notice the incredible Palm Trees that Gayle Sampson and Kevin Haney drew outside the entrance door to the Oasis!! Kira, Erine & Andrea painted them!
